By now I'm sure that most of the people reading this, would have got to know about the racist comments that were hurled at the present Miss. America, all because she is of Indian decent. Now the thing is that most people who tweeted all these racist tweets should either get themselves a new brain or go back to kindergarten. Just some minor facts; 1. India is in ASIA and not the MIDDLE EAST. 2. People from India are called INDIANS not Egyptian or any other nationality. 3. If she wasn't American I'm sure they would not have allowed her to participate. 4. Al-Queda would not deploy women to integrate into American society by winning a beauty              pageant. There is something called too much help. This is significantly exploited by the female population of this world. Sometimes when a friend asks for your help in doing something, you help them out but when it gets out of hand and becomes a burden it can no longer be classified as a favor or help. Recently I helped this friend to do some research for her college assignment and I agreed because she was, at the time, flooded with assignments. We were studied 2 completely different degrees, so much so that I really didn't know all that she asked me to research. I told her that I wouldn't be much of help since I didn't know anything  about the subject matter and wouldn't be able to know if what I found would be useful or not. But of course, she insisted that it would be fine. So I did a somewhat decent amount of research and gave her some links which might have been useful. You know how sometimes you tend to procrastinate? How you put of things that you should really do? Well, I'm a compulsive procrastinator. No matter what it is, I will procrastinate. I'm an extremely skinny guy and I kid you not when I say that, I weigh just below 50 Kgs. Recently (meaning almost a year back)  I've been planning to join the gym which is literally 30 meters away from my house. But me being who I am, I've been procrastinating, always putting it off because of some small minor details. I know I should go to the gym and start a program where I can build muscles while at the same time gaining weight but hey, I procrastinate like the world is going to end. It is kind of sad actually cause I've been meaning to go to the gym for the past 5 odd months. Recently I went out with a couple of friends to watch a movie and go for lunch afterwards. We went for lunch to this restaurant named sizzles. So we ordered food and was just chatting away, when a whole crowd of east asian (most probably korean) tourists walk in. There were about 10-15 odd people in the group. They were shown into a private room so that all of them could fit in. In the mean time our food arrived and we started to dig in. Half way through our meals one of the tourists came out the said room and started going from table to table peeping into other peoples food to see what they have ordered and what it looked like. She even came to our table and peeped in. Unfortunately she was not the only one out of the group, after she retired back into the private room another couple came out and started doing the same thing. I've come to realize that there are some benefits to living in a country which is essentially an island. Mind you it has to be a small one and not a huge one like Australia. The fact of the matter is that Sri Lanka is a good place to live in (minus all the politics of the country). Here are the main reasons as to why.....  You are surrounded by the beach For me the beach is a mere 20 minute drive so there is an infinite abundance of the beach all around. So if I feel like getting some sea water and a good breeze it just takes me a few minutes to get just that. Able to travel to all end of the country in less than a day You know how some people don't get to see all that there is in their own country? Well for us it's not that much of a hassle because the maximum time it would take a person to travel from south of the country to the north would be just about 12 hours. Have you ever wanted to have another you? someone who looks like you, speaks like you? See I've always wanted a twin and not just any twin but an identical twin. It would be one of the coolest things that could happen because not only do you get a brother/sister but you get a brother/sister who looks exactly like you. And what more? you'll share the same birthday so that when you grow older you can actually split cost of birthday parties between yourselves since you'll would have common friends. I hate to admit it but I'm a bit of a pessimist. I'm a pessimist when it comes to things which involve real life. I see all relationships in this world to be a bit superficial and having a expiration date. They maybe romantic in nature or just friendship but life so far has taught me that there is always a time when everything comes to an end. It maybe today, tomorrow, a week from now or even year from now but there is always a time when everything comes to an end. There are definitely friends that you come across in life who are friends who are timeless friends.Who you've known for a long time and who you will continue to know for years to come.
